PGDTF,

This is just a reminder that today (7/5/19) is the last day of the GIC System Model build. All submissions must be made by 5PM today. If you have no changes to make, you must confirm that you have no changes by emailing [log in to unmask]. Since this is the last pass, by confirming you have no changes or by submitting changes you agree that the case is in an acceptable state to you and that you have reviewed and approved the model.

The final model, comprised of both the AC and DC models is set to be posted by 7/12/19 to MIS.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Eric

PGDTF,

The materials for Pass 5 of the GIC Model Build have been posted to MIS. For this pass, make any final corrections or fixes you think are necessary to your equipment in the model. Pass 5 is the final pass of the GIC System Model Build. If you have no changes to submit and have no issues with the model, please confirm so otherwise submit changes.

As of 6/14/2019, ERCOT is no longer accepting any changes to generation in the case. This includes both new announced retirements and new generation that meets 6.9(2). Major topology changes will also not be accepted. However minor changes to correct issues with the model are acceptable. Our goal is to have the model finalized and ready at the end of Pass Five.

The several outstanding issues are:

·         Review the Full Database Validation log for any of your elements and double check the data. Just because something has been flagged does not mean it is wrong. However if it is incorrect, make a submission to modify the DC Model.

·         Review all of your transformer vector groups to ensure that the vector group is in the I/J/K bus order and not ordered High/Low (unless the I/J bus order is High/Low). I’d recommend either filtering by your bus range and exclude any transformers with a blank JobId (a blank JobId means no change has been made to that transformer through the entire model build. It also was not impacted by the RAW file imports) or sort for JobId of: 102, 104 (102 and 104 are the RAW file imports), and any associated with your submissions (the association of JobIds and submissions can be found in the Job Log excel file). If you need to change a vector group, make a submission using the DC template.

·         Review the transformers with zero flows and are in your bus range. If you find a modeling issue, make a submission to correct for it.

·         Case Conditioning - Review the AC Model without the DC Model and ensure that all the voltages are within the limits you’d expect for your area. Submit an Idev if you need to adjust voltages.

Reminder: Make all submissions to [log in to unmask].

Pass 5 End Date: 7/5/2019
