Hi Everyone,

Since I just got ERCOT’s presentation and all of you won’t be at Taylor if I draw this on the board, I’ve attached a slightly revised presentation with one additional slide (slide 5) that actually uses the ERCOT ORDC curve example to show the following:

1. Societal and consumer (or load) loss due to the RUC if RTC NSRS MCPC is adjusted using RTRDPA type adjustment; and
2. Producer loss due to the RUC if RTC NSRS MCPC is not adjusted (and increased uplift to load – not shown in graph).

RUC penalty factors inconsistent with RTC AS Demand Curves are likely to result in losses for either load or generation depending on RTRDPA design.

This is a really important point in this debate so I thought I’d share the new slide 5 with you.
