SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update to ERCOT's Most Severe Single Contingency (MSSC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: January 29, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT's Most Severe Single Contingency (MSSC) value has been changed to 1,430 MW. ERCOT reveiwed its MSSC as required under NERC Reliability Standard BAL-002-3, Requirement R2, and has updated the MSSC value from the former value of 1,375 MW in order to more accurately reflect the expected impact of the loss of either of the South Texas Project nuclear generating units.
