SHORT DESCRIPTION: 2020 ERCOT Black Start Training Postponed Indefinitely

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators (TOs), Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs), and Resource Entities (REs)

DAYS AFFECTED: March 17, 2020 - April 23, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: Sessions 1 through 6 of the 2020 ERCOT Black Start Training have been postponed indefinitely out of an abundance of caution in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.  ERCOT will refund registration fees for Sessions 1 through 6 beginning Monday, March 9, and anticipates that it will take several days to complete the refunds. ERCOT will issue a separate Market Notice at a later date if and when 2020 Black Start Training is rescheduled.

Market Participants who have made travel arrangements (i.e., hotel, flight, car rental, etc.) to attend the 2020 Black Start Training are urged to cancel their reservations immediately.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT has informed Texas RE of the decision to postpone Black Start Training.
