SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update to the Generic Limits for the Panhandle Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  April 22, 2020

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has completed an updated assessment of generic limits associated with the Panhandle Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC). Included in the assessment are updated WSCR and VSAT limits and new dynamic voltage stability limits.  

The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants of this update to the Panhandle GTC.  ERCOT will begin enforcing the updated limits for this GTC on April 22, 2020.

Details associated with all existing GTCs can be found on the ERCOT MIS Secure Area in the “Generic Transmission Constraints” portlet.  A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS Secure Area.
