SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update to the Generic Limits for the Nelson Sharpe - Rio Hondo and Lobo - North Edinburg Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION: Based on the results of the Quarterly Stability Assessment (QSA) for Q3 of 2020, performed pursuant to Planning Guide Section 5.9 Quarterly Stability Assessment, ERCOT has identified updates to the Generic Transmission Constraints (GTC) in the Nelson Sharpe - Rio Hondo and Lobo – North Edinburg areas. These updates result from the installation of new Generation Resources in the region.

The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants of this update to the Nelson Sharpe - Rio Hondo and Lobo – North Edinburg GTCs.  ERCOT will begin enforcing the updated limits for these GTCs on August 20, 2020.

Details associated with all existing GTCs (EMIL ID NP3-766-M, Report ID 11424) can be found on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Grid Transmission page under the Generic Transmission Limits Secured area.  A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS Secure Area.
