SHORT DESCRIPTION: 2020 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar (OTS) - Learning Management System (LMS) Modules for NERC Continuing Education Hours (CEHs)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Distribution Service Providers, Transmission Operators, ERCOT Operators, Qualified Scheduling Entities and Resource Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: November 2, 2020 - January 4, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: 2020 ERCOT OTS selected topic modules--Generation Frequency Control, Outage Management and System Restoration--will be available in the ERCOT LMS until January 4, 2021. For each topic, a passing score of 80% is required to receive NERC CEHs. Two attempts are allowed for each topic. If a passing score of 80% is not achieved after two attempts, a completion certificate will not be available and CEHs will not be awarded. CEHs will be awarded at the end of each week.

ACTION REQUIRED: If the student does not have an ERCOT LMS profile account, one must be created in the ERCOT LMS in order to access the course curriculum and assessments. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Direct links to the LMS modules are available at the bottom of the Operator Training Working Group (OTWG) page under Key Documents.  The Generation Frequency Control and Outage Management links are available as of November 2, 2020. The link for the System Restoration course will be posted on the OTWG page on or before November 6, 2020.
