SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) and Retail Market Test Environment (RMTE) External Web Services (EWS) Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate renewal.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Market Participant personnel that administer programmatic access to ERCOT’s Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) and Retail Market Test Environment (RMTE)
DAY AFFECTED: January 08, 2021
LONG DESCRIPTION: On January 08, 2021, ERCOT will replace the DigiCert MOTE API Public Key SSL certificate used by the Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) and Retail Market Test Environment (RMTE) External Web Services (EWS) with a new GlobalSign MOTE API Public Key SSL certificate.
MOTE/RMTE URLs affected by this change:
Note: there is no impact to Market Participants who access secure ERCOT websites through a web browser.
ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants must download the new MOTE/RMTE API Public Key and install it into their application’s key store.
All Certificates, including the updated public key, are available for download on ERCOT.com at http://www.ercot.com/services/mdt/webservices/.
