SHORT DESCRIPTION: RTU/ICCP/EMS/TMS Planned Maintenance and Unplanned Outages Notifications to ERCOT
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators (TOs) and Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs)
DAYS AFFECTED: February 01, 2021
LONG DESCRIPTION: Beginning February 01, 2021, ERCOT requests that QSEs and TOs utilize the following email addresses to notify ERCOT when maintenance will occur that could cause ICCP telemetry, data, or communications to become unavailable or when it will return online for any entities they represent. The desired minimum set of information to be provided in the notifications to ERCOT is included in the attached slide deck. ERCOT prefers that entities currently providing notifications beyond the desired minimum set of information continue to provide the same information.
ERCOT requests Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) continue to use the existing [log in to unmask] email address to communicate only ICCP telemetry related modeling changes to ERCOT ICCP support team.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The attached slide deck provides details on communication timelines of planned maintenances and unplanned outages to ERCOT, communication template with examples for each type of maintenance, and definitions of requested information as part of the notification. This Market Notice does not supersede any NERC or ERCOT Protocol requirements, but rather improves the coordination and quality of the information provided.
