SHORT DESCRIPTION: New Williamson-Burnet (WILBRN) Import Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED: May 6, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: Based on the results of the Quarterly Stability Assessment (QSA) for Q2 of 2021, performed pursuant to Planning Guide Section 5.9, Quarterly Stability Assessment, ERCOT has identified the need to create a new GTC in the Williamson-Burnet 138kV area. The new GTC is modeled in the Network Operations Model as WILBRN, and results from the installation of new Generation Resources in the region.

The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants of this new WILBRN GTC. ERCOT will begin enforcing the new GTC on May 6, 2021.

Details associated with all existing GTCs (EMIL ID NP3-766-M, Report ID 11424) can be found on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Grid Transmission page under the Generic Transmission Limits.  A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS Secure Area.
