SHORT DESCRIPTION: Request for Geomagnetic Disturbance (GMD) Measurement Equipment Information  

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Service Providers (TSPs) and Resource Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: June 2, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is requesting information regarding Geomagnetic Disturbance (GMD) measurement equipment installed on the ERCOT System in accordance with paragraph (1) of ERCOT Nodal Operating Guide Section 6.1.5.1. The GMD Measurement Equipment Information Collection Template is available on the Planning Geomagnetic Disturbance Task Force (PGDTF) landing page.

ACTION REQUIRED: Pursuant to paragraph (1) of Nodal Operating Guide Section 6.1.5.1, ERCOT requests that all TSPs and Resource Entities respond via email to [log in to unmask] with “GMD Measurement Equipment Information” in the subject line by June 2, 2021. TSPs or Resource Entities without GMD measurement equipment installed at their facilities should indicate so in the body of the email. TSPs and Resource Entities with GMD measurement equipment installed at their facilities must attach a completed GMD Measurement Equipment Information Collection Template.
