SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1060

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: June 1, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 1, 2021, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1060, Improvements to ERS Testing Requirements and Other ERS Items, will be implemented.

This NPRR relocates certain long-standing Emergency Response Service (ERS) requirements from the ERS Technical Requirements document to the ERCOT Protocols to consolidate language addressing availability and missing meter data; makes improvements to provisions governing ERS deployment events and performance testing based on lessons learned from ERS deployment events that occurred in Summer 2019; and relocates and rewords ERS Generator requirements for improved clarity and streamlines processes related to planned maintenance and self-tests to align with the requirements for ERS Loads.

All changes associated with this NPRR will be effective starting with the June-September 2021 ERS Standard Contract Term.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
