SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1060

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: June 1, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 1, 2021, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1060, Improvements to ERS Testing Requirements and Other ERS Items, will be implemented.

This NPRR relocates certain long-standing Emergency Response Service (ERS) requirements from the ERS Technical Requirements document to the ERCOT Protocols to consolidate language addressing availability and missing meter data; makes improvements to provisions governing ERS deployment events and performance testing based on lessons learned from ERS deployment events that occurred in Summer 2019; and relocates and rewords ERS Generator requirements for improved clarity and streamlines processes related to planned maintenance and self-tests to align with the requirements for ERS Loads.

All changes associated with this NPRR will be effective starting with the June-September 2021 ERS Standard Contract Term.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.

NPRR1060 and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website.
