NOTICE DATE: June 3, 2021
NOTICE TYPE: M-C052821-03 Operations
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of newly identified issues with the Short-Term System Adequacy Report postings
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAYS AFFECTED: May 28, 2021 - Current
LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 2, 2021, additional, separate issues were identified for the Short-Term System Adequacy Report (EMIL ID - NP3-763-CD, Report ID 12315). These newly identified issues are a function of changes that were made during the 2021-R3 release on May 27, 2021 and impact the following columns:
Specifically, for the AvailCapGen and AvailCapReserve columns, the data incorrectly included the capacity of Resource Outages for the hours beyond DRUC study range. For other five columns of Available Off-Line Resource capacity, the data incorrectly missed the capacity from Combined Cycle Units (CCUs).
These columns are different from those that were impacted by the previous issue identified and resolved on May 28, 2021. More information about the previous list of impacted columns can be found in the previous Market Notices on May 28.
ERCOT is currently working on the fix for this new issue and does not have a timeline for resolution. A follow-up Market Notice will be provided once it is resolved.
