SHORT DESCRIPTION: Reminder - Implementation Details of OBDRR031, Change Non-Spinning Reserve Service Deployment

DAYS AFFECTED: August 2, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: On August 2, 2021, the remaining Other Binding Document language in the "Non-Spinning Reserve Service Deployment and Recall Procedure" associated with Other Binding Document Revision Request (OBDRR) 031, Change Non-Spinning Reserve Service Deployment, will be implemented.

Specifically, ERCOT will update the calculation that is used to deploy Non-Spinning Reserve (Non-Spin) in Real-Time to be based on forecasted 30-min net load ramp and account for any on-going Intermittent Renewable Resource (IRR) curtailments. A corresponding change in the recall of Non-Spin will also be implemented.
