SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT MOTE is open for testing Fast-Frequency Response (FFR) Advancement project related changes. Note that submissions for all subtypes of Responsive Reserve Service (RRS) will be affected as a part of the changes being implemented in this project.

LONG DESCRIPTION: The ERCOT Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) is available for testing changes related to the Fast-Frequency Response (FFR) Advancement project as of October 29, 2021.
ERCOT systems are currently scheduled to be updated between December 7 and December 9, 2021 to implement changes related to the FFR Advancement project. Meeting materials from the October 27, 2021 workshop that was hosted to provide implementation details related to the FFR Advancement project have been posted on ERCOT's webpage. Submissions for all subtypes of Responsive Reserve Service (RRS) will be affected as a part of the changes being implemented in this project.
ACTION REQUIRED: All Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) that currently have Resources qualified to provide RRS are encouraged to test their ability to submit RRS Ancillary Service Offers, RRS Self-Arranged Ancillary Service, RRS Ancillary Service Trades, and RRS Ancillary Service Responsibilities in Current Operating Plans in the ERCOT MOTE environment.
A QSE that wishes to qualify Resources to provide FFR may submit a request for qualification by contacting its respective ERCOT Account Manager.
