SHORT DESCRIPTION: Reissuance of RFP for NWS ERS-30, WS ERS-30, NWS ERS-10 and WS ERS-10 for the Standard Contract Term (SCT) of December 1, 2021, through March 31, 2022. 

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs)

DAYS AFFECTED: ERS Resource Identification information is due no later than November 5, 2021; Competitive Offers and Self-Provision Offers are due November 15, 2021.

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has modified and reissued the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Emergency Response Service (ERS) for the SCT of December 1, 2021, through March 31, 2022. This RFP seeks participants for Non-Weather-Sensitive ERS-30 (NWS ERS-30), Weather-Sensitive ERS-30 (WS ERS-30), Non-Weather-Sensitive ERS-10 (NWS ERS-10), and Weather-Sensitive ERS-10 (WS ERS-10).  All eight Time Periods will be open to both Weather-Sensitive Resources and Non-Weather Sensitive resources.

The reissued RFP supersedes the RFP issued on October 1, 2021.  The RFP has been reissued to clarify that pursuant to the Order Granting Exception signed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) on November 4, 2021, in PUCT Docket No. 52373, all ERS Resources procured for the December 2021 to March 2022 Standard Contract Term may be required to deploy prior to the declaration of an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA).  The reissued RFP also implements a directive of Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) to increase spending allocated to the December 1, 2021, through March 31, 2022, SCT.

ACTION REQUIRED: ERS Resource Identification information is not affected by the reissued RFP and is due to ERCOT no later than November 5, 2021. Competitive Offers and Self-Provision Offers are due November 15, 2021.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT will communicate awarded offers to QSEs no later than November 22, 2021. An ERS Procurement Summary will be posted to the ERS webpage prior to the start of the SCT.
