NOTICE DATE: November 12, 2021

NOTICE TYPE: W-A111221-01 Operations

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Winter Weather Readiness Report Forms Distributed to Resource Entities

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities with Generation Resources and Energy Storage Resources

DAY AFFECTED: December 1, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: On November 12, 2021, ERCOT sent emails containing links to the generator Winter Weather Readiness Report (WWRR) forms required by 16 TAC § 25.55.  Each email contains a link to a unique DocuSign WWRR form for each Resource.  The emails were sent from [log in to unmask] to the Authorized Representative for each applicable Resource Entity and include instructions for submitting the form.

Each WWRR must be submitted by December 1, 2021 in accordance with PUC Rule 16 TAC § 25.55.  The PUC has indicated that submitting the WWRR to ERCOT will also fulfill the requirement in 16 TAC § 25.55(c)(2) to submit the report to the PUC.

Any Authorized Representative for a Resource Entity that did not receive a separate WWRR form for each Generation Resource and Energy Storage Resource it represents should first check its junk e-mail folders and ensure that e-mails from [log in to unmask] are not rejected as spam.  If no email can be found, the Authorized Representative should contact the Resource Entity’s ERCOT Account Manager or ERCOT's Client Services department at [log in to unmask] immediately.

ERCOT will not send WWRR forms to Resource Entities for Settlement Only Generators, Resources that have submitted Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSOs) in effect during the entirety of the winter Peak Load Season, and Resources that have not yet completed the interconnection process (i.e., that have not received checklist part 3 approval) because they are not required to submit WWRR forms.

ACTION REQUIRED: Resource Entities with Generation Resources and Energy Storage Resources are required to complete and return the WWRR forms no later than December 1, 2021.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A draft version of the WWRR form and answers to frequently asked questions have been posted on the Winter Weather Readiness page of the ERCOT website.  You may also review Generation Entity Winter Weather Preparedness Workshop page for more information.

CONTACT: If you have any questions, please contact your ERCOT Account Manager. You may also call the general ERCOT Client Services phone number at (512) 248-3900 or contact ERCOT Client Services via email at [log in to unmask].
