SHORT DESCRIPTION: Partial Implementation Details of NPRR1090

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: November 19, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: On December 1, 2021, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1090, ERS Winter Storm Uri Lessons Learned Changes and Other ERS Items, will be partially implemented.

Specifically, all language related to NPRR1090 will be unboxed with the exception of paragraph (3) of Section 3.14.3.3, Emergency Response Service Provision and Technical Requirements.

The following NPRR1090 changes pertaining to Emergency Response Service (ERS) will become effective December 1, 2021, including:

The remaining Protocol language related to NPRR1090 will be implemented at a later date. This includes removing the limit on the maximum number of deployments per ERS Contract Period, the three-hour maximum limit per single deployment event, and modifying language related to the cumulative deployment obligation time requirement for Weather-Sensitive ERS Resources.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
