SHORT DESCRIPTION: PUCT Staff Request for Filing of Utility Email Addresses for Critical Natural Gas Load Designation in PUCT Project 52964

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Transmission and Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs)

DAY AFFECTED: December 29, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On November 30, 2021, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) adopted amendments to 16 Tex. Admin. Code (TAC) § 25.52 regarding designation of critical natural gas loads.  The amended rule requires each operator of critical natural gas facilities to submit certain critical customer information to the operator’s utility via email by January 15, 2022.  The rule also provides that the PUCT will maintain on its website a list of utility email addresses to be used for the provision of critical customer information. 

As reflected in its memorandum filed in Project 52964, Utility Email Addresses for Provision of Critical Customer Information Under 25.52, PUCT Staff has requested that each utility provide the following information to the Commission:

PUCT Staff requests that each utility file the above information in Project 52964 by December 29, 2021.  PUCT Staff intends to post this information on the PUCT website by January 3, 2022.

ACTION REQUIRED:  Each TDSP must file the information specified above in PUCT Project 52964 by December 29, 2021.
