LONG DESCRIPTION: On December 10, 2021, the ERCOT Board of Directors approved the 2022 ERCOT Methodologies for Determining Ancillary Service Requirements (“AS Methodology”). The approved changes affect the methodology for determining Responsive Reserve Service and Non-Spinning Reserve Service. ERCOT’s December 10 2021 presentation to the ERCOT Board of Directors provides additional details about these changes. The 2022 AS Methodology will be effective beginning January 1, 2022.
