SHORT DESCRIPTION: Microsoft Ending Support of Internet Explorer

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: June 2022

LONG DESCRIPTION: Microsoft plans to end support of all Internet Explorer (IE) browsers in June 2022.  ERCOT is in the process of ensuring all Market-facing applications support Chromium browser platforms (Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome).  As ERCOT applications are updated to support Chromium browser platforms, future Market Notices will be sent.

Below are the ERCOT applications that are still optimized for performance on the IE browser. These applications will be upgraded to perform on the Chromium browser platforms before the IE end-of-life date.

Internet Explorer 8:

• Service Requests
• Market Manager (MMSUI)

Internet Explorer 11:

• Outage Scheduler
• CRR MUI
• Settlement Disputes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT designates the supported browser for each of its applications on ERCOT.com, under the Market Participants tab, on the Applications page. Click the purple Help button at the bottom right of the page to view this information.
