LONG DESCRIPTION: In advance of winter weather forecasted within the CenterPoint Energy territory and in the interest of safety, CenterPoint Energy is suspending disconnect for non-pay orders Thursday, February 3, 2022 through
Friday, February 4, 2022. This action is due to possible weather that would affect resource availability and public safety concerns. We will resume DNPs on Monday, February 7, 2022 unless conditions require an extension.

CenterPoint Energy’s Process for Suspension of Disconnects during this Winter Weather Event:

Disconnect for Non-Payment (DNP) 650_01 transactions submitted after 5:00 P.M today or with a “Date Wanted” that is within the suspension window will be Completed Unexecutable with a Weather Advisory code of “W” for A13 – Weather

New DNP orders may be submitted for requested future “Date Wanted” dates and will be accepted by our system. However, the future “Date Wanted” should be in accordance to the CenterPoint Energy resume DNP orders date listed.
