SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation details for OBDRR037

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: April 1, 2022 and thereafter

LONG DESCRIPTION: On April 1, 2022, Other Binding Document language associated with Other Binding Document Revision Request (OBDRR) 037, Power Balance Penalty and Shadow Price Cap Updates to Align with PUCT Approved High System-Wide Offer Cap, will be implemented.  OBDRR037 modifies language in Other Binding Document "Methodology for Setting Maximum Shadow Prices for Network and Power Balance Constraints". 

Specifically, ERCOT will change the Generic Transmission Constraint Shadow Price Cap for Base Case/Voltage Violations from $9,251/MWh to $5,251/MWh.  Please note that the changes  to the Power Balance Penalty Curve, that were also part of OBDRR037, went into effect on January 1, 2022.
