SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update Regarding Estimated Cumulative Aggregate Short Pay Amount

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has received inquiries regarding whether ERCOT intends to issue a Market Notice with an updated estimated outstanding short payment amount. The last short payment update issued on December 2, 2021. See Notice M-B120221-01.

Recently, ERCOT received payments or recovered funds from certain short-paying Market Participants that materially reduced the outstanding short payment amount.  Additionally, ERCOT expects to soon receive funds for certain short-paying Market Participants as a result of Retail Electric Provider (REP) certification revocation proceedings at the Public Utility Commission of Texas.  Once ERCOT completes processing of those funds, ERCOT will issue a Market Notice with an updated estimated outstanding short payment amount.
