SHORT DESCRIPTION: 2022 Black Start and Restoration Computer-Based Training Course Available (7 CEH)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: July 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT System Operations Training would like to invite all NERC-certified Market Participants to take the 2022 Black Start and Restoration computer-based training (CBT) course, in the ERCOT LMS, at no cost. The training is composed of seven modules and worth 7.0 continuing education hours.

The offer for the free CBT is from July 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022. Completions after July 31, 2022 will not be reviewed or awarded.

If the course was completed once during 2022 Black Start Training in the months of March, April, May, or June, Market Participants are eligible to take the course a second time for additional hours. The maximum number of completions that can be awarded are two.

Please note that if you did not take the course during 2022 Black Start Training, then you are eligible to take the course ONE time. The LMS will not record multiple attempts in the same month, so please do not attempt more than one completion during the month of July.

The completions will be uploaded to SOCCED by August 15, 2022. Hours will not be awarded during the month of July for any reason.

If you do not see your completion in SOCCED by August 15, 2022, please send an email to [log in to unmask] and include your NERC certification number—it is possible that your certificate number is not listed in your ERCOT LMS profile and will need to be added.
