SHORT DESCRIPTION: System Implementation details for Firm Fuel Supply Service (NPRR1120 and OBDRR039)

LONG DESCRIPTION: On October 13, 2022, ERCOT systems will be updated to implement changes related to the Firm Fuel Supply Service (FFSS) in support of the Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1120, Create Firm Fuel Supply Service, and Other Binding Document Revision Request (OBDRR) 039, ORDC Changes Related to NPRR1120, Create Firm Fuel Supply Service. 

On July 20, 2022, ERCOT sent Market Notice, M-A072022-01 Partial Implementation details of NPRR1120, Create Firm Fuel Supply Serviceregarding the Request for Proposal (RFP) for FFSS and the "Firm Fuel Supply Service" and "Firm Fuel Supply Service Resource (FFSSR)" definitions. 

This 30-day Market Notice is to provide awareness of the system changes to be implemented on October 13, 2022.  The FFSS system changes will be in place to enable a Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) representing an awarded FFSSR to submit required FFSS Availability Plans.  Under the definition of Availability Plan in Protocol Section 2.1, a QSE representing an FFSSR shall submit an Availability Plan to ERCOT 14 days prior to the Operating Day.  The FFSS Obligation Period begins November 15, 2022.

The sequence of activities for implementation includes the following:

MOTE testing in support of this implementation is currently in progress.   Weekly Market Readiness Meetings (QSEs for MOTE/FFRA/FFSS changes) are currently being held.  The link to the next meeting is located here.

ACTION REQUIRED: On and after November 14, 2022, a QSE that is awarded FFSS shall submit the required Availability Plans for Operating Days on and after November 15, 2022.
