SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT to release new Fuel Mix dashboard

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION: In response to Market Participant requests and ERCOT’s commitment to providing accurate and relevant data, ERCOT is releasing a new Fuel Mix dashboard to ERCOT.com on Thursday, December 15, 2022. The Fuel Mix dashboard will display the Real-Time, Current Day, and Previous Day energy generation broken down by resource type. The resource categories included are Solar, Wind, Hydro, Power Storage, Natural Gas, Coal and Lignite, Nuclear, and Other.

Users will be able to view Real-Time percentages and MW values in a stacked bar chart. Current Day and Previous day data will be presented in both a stacked area chart and a line chart. Hovering over these charts will allow users to view the energy generation amount at any point in time. Users can also click the resource type labels below the charts to hide or show each one.

The Fuel Mix dashboard will be accessible from the Grid and Market Conditions page.

ACTION REQUIRED: Upon first visit after this release, it may be necessary to refresh the browser or clear the browser’s cache for the new dashboard to properly display.
