SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is decreasing the Securitization Uplift Charge Daily Amount (SUCDA) used in calculating Securitization Subchapter N Uplift Charge escrow deposits and Securitization Uplift Charges

DAYS AFFECTED: Operating Day January 27, 2023 and thereafter

LONG DESCRIPTION:  In accordance with the Debt Obligation Order issued by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) in PUC Docket No. 52322, Application of Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. for a Debt Obligation Order Pursuant to Chapter 39, Subchapter N, of the Public Utility Regulatory Act, and ERCOT Protocols Section 27.3(2), ERCOT, as servicer of the bonds issued under Subchapter N of PURA Chapter 39, is required to evaluate the SUCDA at least quarterly to determine the charge amount for future Invoices.

ERCOT filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC), in Docket No. 52710, the second Quarterly True-Up Compliance Filing and Notice of Uplift Charge Adjustment for the debt obligations issued under Subchapter N. This filing is required under Finding of Fact 197 and Ordering Paragraph 33 of the Debt Obligation Order the PUC issued in Docket No. 52322. This filing includes an update to the SUCDA amount. On December 20, 2022, the PUC administrative law judge, inter alia, approved the new SUCDA, which decreases from $455,643 to $402,206.

Under Protocols Section 27.3(3), ERCOT will issue a Market Notice notifying Market Participants of the daily charge amount no later than 15 days before the Operating Day in which the new SUCDA will be used to calculate Securitization Uplift Charges.  The new SUCDA will be used in the calculation of the Securitization Uplift Charge beginning with Operating Day January 27, 2023, the Invoice for which will be issued on February 1, 2023. In addition, the updated SUCDA will be used in the calculation of Securitization Uplift Charge escrow deposits beginning on February 7, 2023.
