SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1054

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: February 1, 2023

LONG DESCRIPTION: On February 1, 2023, the remaining Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1054, Removal of Oklaunion Exemption Language, will be implemented.

NPRR1054 removes references and calculations associated with the Oklaunion Exemption from the following Protocol Sections:

Section 2.1, Definitions
Section 5.7.4.1.1, Capacity Shortfall Ratio Share
Section 6.6.2.1, ERCOT Total Adjusted Metered Load for a 15-Minute Settlement Interval
Section 6.6.2.3, ERCOT Total Adjusted Metered Load for an Operating Hour
Section 6.6.2.6, QSE DC Tie Export Load Ratio Share for a Month
Section 6.6.2.8, QSE DC Tie Export Load Ratio Share by Congestion Management Zone for a Month
Section 6.6.3.5, Real-Time Payment for Block Load Transfer Point
Section 6.6.3.6, Real-Time Energy Charge for DC Tie Export Represented by the QSE Under the Oklaunion Exemption
Section 7.5.7, Method for Distributing CRR Auction Revenues
Section 7.9.3.5, CRR Balancing Account Closure
Section 9.5.3, Real-Time Market Settlement Charge Types
Section 11.4.6.1, Calculation of ERCOT-Wide Unaccounted for Energy
Section 16.11.4.3.2, Real-Time Liability Estimate

Settlement Billing Determinants that will no longer be used:

The Settlement Billing Determinant, "Real-Time DC Export Amount Total" (RTDCEXPAMTTOT), will continue to be produced for every Operating Day with a value of zero for each interval until it is removed with a future system modification.

ACTION REQUIRED: Impacted Market Participants should implement changes to their shadow Settlement systems to incorporate the Protocol revisions made by NPRR1054.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
