SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of Summer Weatherization Inspections to Resource Entities

DAYS AFFECTED: June 1, 2023, to September 30, 2023
LONG DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Public Utility Commission of Texas rule regarding Weather Emergency Preparedness, 16 Texas Administrative Code § 25.55, beginning next week, ERCOT will notify Resource Entities of the date and time for inspections of Generation Resources selected for weatherization inspections. Additional notifications may occur throughout the summer season. The inspections will occur between June 5, 2023, and September 29, 2023.
Notice of Erratum: ERCOT is aware of an error in the third paragraph of the Declaration of Preparedness – Generation Entity Summer Weatherization and Natural Gas Pipeline Coordination. The Declaration refers to “Appendix B” instead of “Appendix A.” When submitting the Declaration, please strike “B” and replace with “A” on the signed and notarized copy. ERCOT will read this document as if it references Appendix A and will correct it for the next season.
ACTION REQUIRED: Pursuant to 16 Texas Administrative Code § 25.55(d)(1)(A), Resource Entities receiving a weatherization inspection notice must acknowledge receipt and provide, within twenty-four hours, the information required to coordinate the inspections.
