SHORT DESCRIPTION: Workshop to Discuss ERCOT Interpretation of 16 Tex. Admin. Code (TAC) Section 25.55 on Wind Chill

LONG DESCRIPTION: At the July 20, 2023 Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Open Meeting, the PUCT discussed ERCOT's letter filed in PUCT Project No. 54444 on July 13, 2023 interpreting specific provisions of the weather emergency preparedness rule, 16 TAC Section 25.55, related to the temperature standard for preparing generation resources and transmission facilities for winter weather.  ERCOT will hold a virtual workshop via WebEx on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. to further communicate the content of the letter and answer any questions that Market Participants may have.

ACTION REQUIRED: Resource Entities and TSPs are required to implement weather emergency preparation measures reasonably expected to ensure sustained operation at the 95th percentile minimum average 72-hour wind chill temperature reported in ERCOT’s historical weather study for the weather zone in which their respective generation resources or transmission facilities are located.
