On August, 14 2023 at 9:30 AM, the Wholesale Market Working Group (WMWG) and the Resource Cost Working Group (RCWG) will host a
joint workshop on Reliability Unit Commitments (RUC) and Verifiable Costs (VCs).
The workshop is intended to raise awareness of how RUC and VC rules are impacting the ERCOT market and Resource owners, provide a forum for discussing concerns that have been raised regarding the use of RUC and gaps that may exist in the
existing VC process, and provide attendees with an opportunity to align on potential paths forward to address stakeholder concerns, including prioritizing which elements of RUC and VCs are addressed first. The agenda will include:

Discussion by IMM, and Resource owners on RUC

Discussion by ERCOT on what is and is not working on RUC and VCs

Discussion on potential reforms to RUC and VCs
