SHORT DESCRIPTION: Workshop to Discuss NPRR1199, Implementation of Lone Star Infrastructure Protection Act (LSIPA) Requirements
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants
LONG DESCRIPTION: On October 24, 2023, ERCOT will hold a workshop to provide Market Participants with an opportunity to comment on NPRR 1199, relating to implementation of amendments to the Lone Star Infrastructure Protection Act (LSIPA). LSIPA introduced new reporting and attestation requirements for ERCOT Market Participants that procure critical electric grid equipment and critical electric grid services from certain countries, including China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and any other country designated by the Governor of Texas as a threat to critical infrastructure. This NPRR supports the security of the ERCOT grid.
ERCOT encourages Market Participants to file written comments with proposed NPRR language changes at least one week prior to the workshop if they wish to propose alternative language. This will support a productive discussion of any specific alternatives that may be proposed to the current version of NPRR 1199.
