SHORT DESCRIPTION: RIOO Outage for Implementation of NPRR1153 and SCR824
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants
DAYS AFFECTED: December 19, 2023 (10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) and December 20, 2023
LONG DESCRIPTION: On December 19, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. the Resource Integration and Ongoing Operations (RIOO) system will be unavailable due to release improvements and defect fixes. This release will update the fees in RIOO for the ERCOT Load Resource Registration and Generator Interconnection or Modification fees and the Full Interconnection Study (FIS) Application fee in accordance with those approved under Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1153, ERCOT Fee Schedule Changes.
SCR824, Increase File Size and Quantity Limits for RIOO Attachments, will also be implemented during this outage.
On December 20, 2023, Protocol language associated with NPRR1153 will be implemented. NPRR1153 changes Generation Interconnection or Modification fees and FIS Application fees to account for new categories of Resources that were not contemplated under the prior fee structure and increases in costs.
ACTION REQUIRED: On December 20, 2023, the fees for projects submitting those applicable requests in RIOO will be charged at the new approved rates under NPRR1153.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A RIOO Services user account is required to access the RIOO system. Guides for creating user accounts can be found under RIOO Documentation on the Resource Integration webpage.
New Users requesting access to the system should request only the roles that apply to them as follows -
Transmission Service Providers: GINR_M_Operator
Resource Entities: RIOORS_M_Operator
Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
