SHORT DESCRIPTION: Extreme Weather – CenterPoint Energy Suspension of Disconnect for Non-Pay Orders extension.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Retail Electric Providers

LONG DESCRIPTION: In anticipation of an extended period of below-freezing temperatures and possible hazardous road conditions in the CNP Service Area, CenterPoint Energy will not be executing disconnect for non-pay orders on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. CNP plans to resume normal DNP processing on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Any DNP orders scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024, will be turned down with a “Weather Moratorium” code and will need to be resubmitted with a future date.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Additional information concerning this suspension of disconnect for non-pay orders will be provided via market notice as it becomes available.
