SHORT DESCRIPTION: Unplanned network outage with impacted services

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: February 12, 2024, 07:57 - 08:30

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT experienced an unexpected network issue that affected the functionality of the Market Information System (MIS), External Web Services (EWS) Market Transactions, and ERCOT.com websites. Market Participants may have experienced intermittent issues with the following services:   

• EWS GetReports and GetLists;
• Market Data Transparency (MDT) Web Services;
• Market submissions and requests via External Web Services (EWS), Market Manager and Outage Scheduler;
• Report publishing to the ERCOT MIS and ERCOT.com;
• Downloading of extracts and reports from the ERCOT MIS and ERCOT.com;
• Net Dependable Capability and Reactive Capability (NDCRC);
• Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Market User Interface;
• Find ESIID and Find Transaction;
• Market Participant Identity Manager (MPIM);
• Extract Subscriber;
• Service Requests; and
• CDR report publishing and downloading, which may cause the following reports to be unavailable:
• SCED and Real Time Dispatch (RTD) Reports;
• Network Security Analysis (NSA) Active and Inactive Constraint Reports;
• State Estimator Reports;
• Real-Time Dynamic Rating Data Reports;
• Wind Power Production - 5-minute Averaged Actual values; and
• Solar Power Production - 5-minute Averaged Actual values.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: No Market Management System (MMS) reports were missed. Duplicate XML reports will be removed. Reports will be rerun and reposted as applicable. ERCOT.com dashboards may have not populated with data during the 07:57 – 08:30 timeframe.
