SHORT DESCRIPTION: Completed - Implementation of Change in Energy Storage Resource (ESR) Ancillary Service Telemetry

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: February 1, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: In reference to M-A121823-01 and M-A121823-02 this is a notice that ERCOT has enabled logic to consume the updated Ancillary Service related telemetry from Energy Storage Resources (ESRs). ERCOT has updated the ERCOT and QSE Operations Practices During the Operating Hour Business Practice Manual to include updated references and examples for the ESR Ancillary Service Telemetry expectations.

ACTION REQUIRED: QSEs with ESRs in their fleet may transition to telemetering AS related data using the updated method described in the original Market Notice now that ERCOT has enabled the functionality.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT's EMS is backwards compatible. Any QSE with ESRs in their portfolio that is not ready to switch to provide telemetry in the new method will be able to provide as they did prior to the new logic being enabled until they are ready to switch to the new method.
