LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will be hosting an Innovation Summit on May 21, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at its Met Center location in Austin. The Summit will bring together thought leaders across the energy research and innovation ecosystem to engage and discuss a wide array of topics focusing on the current transformation and future state of the grid.  

The Texas electric power grid is undergoing a rapid transformation with changes to the resource mix, decentralization of generation, electrification, emerging prosumers, and digitizationThe ERCOT Innovation Summit brings together stakeholders in the energy research and innovation ecosystems, such as Market Participants, ISO/RTOs, academia, research labs, vendors, etc., to discuss these opportunities and challenges as the grid continues to transform and evolve. 

If you are an active stakeholder in imagining and shaping the grid of the future, join us to hear about the topics vital for ERCOT to meet its mission, listen to perspectives from stakeholders with different vantage points, and brainstorm potential solutions. You will not only contribute to the discussion, but will also leave with new ideas that could help you and your organization. 

Anticipated panel sessions will include essential reliability services, demand flexibility, uncertainty management, future of energy storage, transmission planning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/ Machine Learning (ML) technology.
