SHORT DESCRIPTION: Status Update: Investigation of Incorrect Ancillary Service Failed Quantity Calculations

LONG DESCRIPTION: On July 16, 2024, ERCOT issued a Market Notice M-A071624-01 about a calculation issue that could create incorrect Ancillary Service Failed Quantity Charges associated with the implementation of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1149, Implementation of Systematic Ancillary Service Failed Quantity Charges.  ERCOT has identified a solution to fix the calculation issue in the Market Management System (MMS). This fix was implemented into production on July 25, 2024 and ensures that Ancillary Service Failed Quantity Charges will be calculated correctly for Operating Days from July 21 onwards.  ERCOT was able to fix Ancillary Service Failed Quantities for Operating days July 18 to July 20 due to Market Management System (MMS) data availability in production, and those corrections will be included in the RTM Final Settlements. ERCOT has also been analyzing the impacted days prior to the implementation of the fix and plans to apply corrections to impacted Operating Days to the Final Settlements.
