SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1058 and NPRR1131 (Settlement-Related)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION: On August 22, 2024, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1058, Resource Offer Modernization, and NPRR1131, Controllable Load Resource Participation in Non-Spin, will be implemented.

NPRR1058 introduces the following Settlement-related changes to the Protocols:

The Energy Offer Curve utilized in the calculation of the Emergency Base Point Price (EBPPR) in Section 6.6.9, Emergency Operations Settlement, will be the Energy Offer Curve that was submitted by the QSE for the Resource, and effective for the applicable SCED interval.

NPRR1131 introduces the following Settlement-related changes to the Protocols:

Paragraph (7) of Section 6.7.5, Real-Time Ancillary Service Imbalance Payment or Charge:

- Remove calculation for Real-Time Controllable Load Resource Non-Spin Responsibility for the QSE (RTCLRNSRESP).
- Revisions to calculations of Real-Time Ancillary Service On-Line Reserve Imbalance for the QSE (RTASOLIMB) and Real-Time Ancillary Service Off-Line Reserve Imbalance for the QSE (RTASOFFIMB) to remove Real-Time Controllable Load Resource Non-Spin Responsibility for the QSE (RTCLRNSRESP) as a calculation input.
- Remove calculation for Real-Time Non-Spin Schedule for Controllable Load Resources for the QSE (RTCLRNS).
- Revisions to calculations of Real-Time Capacity from Controllable Load Resources for the QSE (RTCLRCAP) and Real-Time Off-Line Reserve Capacity for the QSE (RTOFFCAP) to remove Real-Time Non-Spin Schedule for Controllable Load Resources for the QSE (RTCLRNS) as a calculation input.

ACTION REQUIRED: Impacted Market Participants should implement changes to their shadow Settlement systems to incorporate the Protocol revisions made by NPRR1058 and NPRR1131.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
