SHORT DESCRIPTION: Reliability analysis determination for Blue Cube Operations, LLC (DOWGEN_DOW_G66)

DAY AFFECTED: November 21, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: On October 24, 2024, ERCOT received an NSO for the following Generation Resource:

• Blue Cube Operations LLC (DOWGEN_DOW_G66)

The NSO indicates that on February 11, 2022, the Generation Resource experienced a Forced Outage. As a result of the Forced Outage, the Resource Entity intends to indefinitely suspend operation of the Generation Resource.

Pursuant to requirements under ERCOT Protocols Section 3.14.1.2 (3), ERCOT is issuing an initial determination that this Generation Resource is not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability. Pursuant to Section 3.14.1.2 (5), this Notice will also serve as the final determination, and the Resource may be decommissioned according to the schedule in the NSO.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT has posted the analysis performed to arrive at its determination on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area. An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
