SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1184, Update to Procedures for Managing Interest on Cash Collateral

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants 

DAYS AFFECTED: December 11, 2024  

LONG DESCRIPTION: On December 11, 2024 NPRR1184 will be fully implemented, specifically the following parts of Section 16 of the Protocols will be unboxed:

• 16.11.3 (1) (c) (iii) Alternative Means of Satisfying ERCOT Creditworthiness Requirements
• 16.11.4.7 (2) and (3) Credit Monitoring and Management Reports.

ERCOT will post the following reports on a monthly and annual basis on the Market Information System (MIS) Certified Area:

• Monthly Collateral and Interest Report (EMIL ID NP16-114-SG, Report ID 24685)
• Annual Collateral and Interest Report  (EMIL ID NP16-115-SG, Report ID 24686)

Also, starting on December 11, 2024, Available Credit Limit (ACL) Summary Report (EMIL ID: FNC-470-SG, Report Type ID: 11173) (Sec 16.11.4.7 Credit Monitoring and Management Reports) will include the following new section and columns:

• Active Letters of Credit/Surety Bonds
  • Issuer Name
  • Instrument Number
  • Collateral Type
  • Amount

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
