SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of Reliability Must Run Agreement for CPS Energy BRAUNIG_VHB3

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  March 2, 2025 through March 1, 2027

LONG DESCRIPTION: In accordance with Section 3.14.1.2(8) of the ERCOT Protocols, ERCOT hereby provides notice that, on February 24, 2025, ERCOT and CPS Energy signed an RMR Agreement for V.H. Braunig Unit 3 (BRAUNIG_VHB3). The RMR Agreement is attached to this Market Notice.  As further required by Section 3.14.1.2(8), ERCOT provides the following information about the RMR Unit: 

• Status of the RMR Unit: under contract: will be on Outage for inspection and repairs beginning March 3, 2025 
• Start date of RMR Agreement: March 2, 2025 
• Duration of the RMR Agreement: two years 
• Standby Cost: $2,616.80 per hour 
• Amount of MW under contract: 400 MW

In accordance with ERCOT Protocols Section 3.14.1.4, ERCOT will prepare a list of potential alternatives to the service provided by the RMR Unit within 90 days of signing the RMR Agreement.  ERCOT anticipates providing this information at the April 2025 meeting of the ERCOT Board of Directors.
