SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Black Start Resource Awards Timeline scenarios based on NPRR369

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 16, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 369, Black Start Service Requirement Revisions, will be considered by the ERCOT Board on August 16, 2011. If NPRR369 is approved, ERCOT will allow Market Participants who responded in a timely manner to the Black Start Services Request for Proposal (RFP) on June 1, 2011 to supplement their RFP responses.  RFP supplements should be limited to the costs proposed to provide Black Start Service (BSS).  ERCOT will observe one of the following timelines dependent on the Board's decision on NPRR369.

If NPRR369 is approved:



*         August 26, 2011       - RFP supplemental information due by 17:00 CDT

*         September 2, 2011  - Announce Black Start Resource Awards



If NPRR369 is rejected:



*         August 25, 2011       - Announce Black Start Resource Awards



ACTION REQUIRED:  If NPRR369 is approved, Market Participants must submit RFP supplemental information by 17:00 CDT on August 26, 2011, only if they want to revise previous submittals.
