SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Additional analysis related to the RMR status for NRG Texas Power LLC, Greens Bayou Unit 5
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  October 1, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On August 30, 2011, ERCOT issued a final determination that the following Generation Resource was needed for Reliability Must-Run (RMR) Service to support ERCOT System reliability, based on the Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) received from NRG Texas Power LLC on June 30, 2011:

  *   NRG Texas Power LLC - GBY_GBY_5.
ERCOT has performed additional analysis and has determined that Greens Bayou Unit 5 is not needed for RMR Service and can proceed to mothball status, effective October 1, 2011.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The Notification of Suspension of Operations is posted on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
