SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Final determination of RMR status for Luminant Generation Company LLC
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  April 7, 2009
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT System Operations and ERCOT System Planning previously issued an initial determination that Luminant Generation Company LLC Permian Basin SES Unit 5, Permian Basin SES Unit 6 and Decordova SES Unit 1 were needed for Reliability Must Run (RMR) Service in 2009.
ERCOT System Planning and ERCOT System Operations have completed additional studies and confirmed the initial determination that both Permian Basin SES Units 5 and 6 are necessary for RMR Service for 2009.  Decordova SES Unit 1 is not needed for RMR Service.  In accordance with Protocol Section 6.5.9(2) ERCOT shall continue to assess alternatives to the proposed RMR agreements for the type(s) of reliability concerns identified in its analysis.
