SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update - Proposal to Modify Barney Davis Remedial Action Scheme

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  August 18, 2017 and August 30, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has completed its review of the American Electric Power Service Corporation (AEPSC) proposal to modify the Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) at Barney Davis (B_Davis). The Barney Davis RAS is designed to monitor & relieve thermal violations on the six (6) 138 kV circuits Barney Davis to Rodd Field to Holly, Barney Davis to Airline, Barney Davis to Wooldridge to Airline, Barney Davis to Pharaoh to Airline, Barney Davis to Alazan to Nelson Sharpe, and Barney Davis to Naval Base.



ERCOT is approving the proposal to modify the Barney Davis RAS.



The Barney Davis RAS is scheduled to be temporarily disabled when the Barney Davis - Naval Base 138 kV line is put in service on August 18, 2017. The RAS will be re-enabled on August 30, 2017, when the Network Model has been updated.

Any questions or concerns submitted by this date will be addressed by ERCOT or AEP.

ACTION REQUIRED:  Any comments to this proposal are due to ERCOT by July 14, 2017, using the attached form.
