SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details for NPRR521

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRR Account Holders

DAY AFFECTED:  April 1, 2013

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On April 1, 2013, Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 521, Transitional CRR Auction Capacity Value for Initial CRR Long-Term Auction Sequence, shall become effective. NPRR521, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on March 19, 2013, increases the Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Auction Capacity for the first six-month portion of the initial CRR Long-Term Auction Sequence from 60% to 70%. This change will only be effective for the initial CRR Long-Term Auction Sequence (CRRs for July - December 2013), in order to mitigate potential system and market issues during the transition.

The key dates and activities for the initial auction sequence are below.

*         Long-Term Auction Sequence 1 (CRRs for July - December 2013)

o   Post Network Model - April 2, 2013

o   Post Auction Notice and open Credit Window - April 10, 2013

o   Credit Lock - April 29, 2013

o   Bid submission open - April 30, 2013

o   Bid submission close - May 2, 2013

o   Results posted - May 16, 2013

Monthly auction activities have not been changed and will continue to run in parallel to the CRR Long-Term Auction Sequences.
