SHORT DESCRIPTION:  New Settlement Points to be added to the Network Operations Model

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  June 23 and July 1, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The attached list of Settlement Points will be added in the June 23, 2011, Network Operations Model load but will not be effective until July 1, 2011. For the July CRR Auction and the Balance of Year CRR Auction, the new Settlement Points were biddable.

Because the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) does not have the capability to accept offers and bids submitted on a future Network Operations Model, ERCOT added the Settlement Points in an earlier model load with the intention of the Settlement Points being effective July 1, 2011. This will allow Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) to submit transactions on the new Settlement Points for the DAM execution on June 30, 2011, for Operating Day July 1, 2011.
For Operating Days prior to July 1, 2011, Market Participants should NOT submit transactions on these new Settlement Points. ERCOT will manually remove any bids and offers on these points, because they are not intended to be effective until July 1, 2011, and will manually remove any confirmed trades that include these points prior to the execution of Settlements.
