SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Initial determination of RMR status for NRG Texas Power LLC, Greens Bayou Unit 5

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  July 26, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) on June 30, 2011 for the following Generation Resource:

*       NRG Texas Power LLC - GBY_GBY_5

ERCOT has completed its preliminary review and is issuing its initial determination that this Resource may be needed for Reliability Must-Run (RMR) Service. ERCOT will issue its final determination by August 29, 2011.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT has posted its initial determination on the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
